The Detectives - Emily
Emily first became involved with Answers when we visited her acting group to take promotional photographs for a client under our Challenge21 scheme. Fired with the idea of working as a Private Eye and using those acting skills to act the part of someone much younger Emily was soon visiting licensed retailers to see if they checked her for ID. The sheer devilment of fooling people - often getting served while looking 16 in a school uniform - fired an interest that has remained for several years
From working in Challenge 21 / Think 21 Emily soon put her acting skills to use. One assignment required an Investigator with a provisional driving licence to take lessons in the North of England, gaining evidence against someone who was moonlighting while on sick pay from their employer, having set up their own driving school; adopting the ID of a Uni student in Leeds, and wired with bodyworn audio, Emily was filmed for hours having genuine driving lessons by someone who was aparently too sick to work. The pantomime of clipped kerbs and driving in circles frequently causes office amusement when the photographs and video are re-run.
While Emily has many skills, driving is not one of them - 30 lessons in real life had failed to provide her with a test pass.
Having studied at LAMDA, Emily is currently with the company in a full-time role and continues to use her investigative skills in many roles. Sometimes this can veer more to the tedious, recently spending more than a week collating pornography from a forensically treated computer
Another profile of Emily can be seen here; she is also featured in Sugar and the Australian teen Dolly magazine
